The Münchner Stadtmuseum shows documents of the city's history, but also treats topics on international civilisation and cultural history - in the form of special exhibtions.

The historic armory is being fully modernised and renovated. Until this year's 850th anniversary of Munich there will be three floors of "Typisch München!", a presentation of city culture from the medieval ages until now, which can be seen from June 6.

The exhibitions on photography, musical instruments, contemporary history and puppet theatre continue. The current program of the film museum, concerts in the musical instruments museum as well as dates of tours can be found on the homepage of the museum.
