Restaurant Acquarello

According to Gault Millau Guide Acquarello is one of the "100 world's best restaurants". No wonder, when you look at the vita of Mario Gamba, cook and owner. Bored by his office job in Bergamo he left for the world 30 years ago inorder to learn the refined art of cooking. Having worked at the best restaurants in France his way led to Tantris, where he met the renowned chef Heinz Winkler.

Eventually, Gamba opened Acquarello in 1994 in Bogenhausen. In 2000 he's awarded a Michelin-Star and constantly praised to be "the best Italian restaurant in Germany" (Bunte). It's about the sophistication and the surprise effect of Gamba's cuisine making Acquarello so unique .
