Splish splash I was taking a bath - long about a Saturday night yea - rub-dub just relaxing in the tub - thinking everything was alright… these lyrics of Bobby Darin 's song from the early times of Rock’n’Roll reminds of the large waterski and wakeboard facilities in the east of Munich in Aschheim. In the middle of the local sports park a lake was designed in 1998, which has a circulation rope length of 760m with its 5 mast facility and 8 pick ups. Additional fun is guaranteed through various obstacles, amont them a table of 18 meters and a football table.

Phew… that sounds quite professional, aber but Germany's first wakeboard and ski trainer, the so-called easy start, facilitates the start and the first meters for all beginners on boards or skis dramatically. In a separate area of the lake the new cracks learn safe starting and b - with 100% guarantee of success, following the owner's words!

A trial lesson costs 35 Euro, a beginner's course 65 Euro, including equipment. These lessons take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 10am - 12pm, registration compulsory. The fees for experts keep within a limit: One hour costs 15 Euro, 1 full day 30 Euro.

Who thinks that is too strenous, may chill at the sandy beach, in the sun and with Caribbean delights and drinks, of course. Roberto Beach, built by the self-appointed beach king and toucan fan Roberto, is quite unique in andaround Munich: With some imagination will feel like in the South-Seas or on the Bahamas, far away from the worries of daily life.

The lake's garden, directly by the water ski facility, you can chill and enjoy yummy food from the grill or drinks from beach bar. Both locations serve as  spots for corporate events and incentives – a different way to party for sure.

Get up high in the rope garden, which is found right by the parking. Wild Whoosey, Chaplin Walk and Giant Swing are just a few of the challenges to bemastered there. But also the lower rope parcours is tough: Whale Watching, Traffic Jam and Mohawk Walk are the exercises to be mastered here.

It can get extremely sportive at the beach volleyball complex which is part of Roberto Beach: three indoor courts and eight outdoor courts are waiting to find  the masters of this sports. Who thinks that this is only possible in summer ismistaken: During the winter the courts are heated for the feet to stay warm. The facilities are open from noon to midnight (water ski) and 1 am (volleyball).
